Effect of heat treatment on screws

However, the screws after quenching are prone to brittle fracture, and the application range is limited.
2. Tempering treatment

In this way, the internal stress generated by quenching can be eliminated, the brittleness of the screw can be reduced, and its toughness and ductility can be improved.
3. Nitriding treatment
Nitriding is a surface hardening treatment. The screw is put into the nitride furnace, and the reaction is carried out under high temperature and high pressure, so that nitrogen atoms permeate the screw surface and form a layer of nitride with high hardness, thereby improving the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the screw.
Precautions before heat treatment

Screw must be cleaned and oil removed before heat treatment, so as not to affect the heat treatment effect.
